D2P supports UW Elektrifi team in prestigious NSF I-Corps program

D2P is proud to be working with Ashray Manur and the Sustainable Microgrids Partnership on the National Science Foundations’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program. NSF I-Corps is a prestigious national award that helps researchers translate their research into solutions that can solve problems in the real world. Between July 17 and Aug 26, the Elektrifi team will be conducting 100 interviews with stakeholders in home healthcare emergency preparedness and energy resilience.

The team will be exploring energy resilience solutions for critical infrastructure applications like health care, communication services, and critical manufacturing services. The team seeks to interview individuals:

  • Working at home health care agencies, companies, hospitals, medical equipment manufacturers
  • Working at emergency response and preparedness agencies
  • Who use electricity-dependent home medical devices
  • Working at businesses that can be severely affected by electricity outages
